No ribbon nor paper included. The printer was able to power on and print a test page. This printer may have a different printhead then what was installed originally. The top plastic cover is missing from this unit; see pictures.

I plugged the printer in and it powers up (see photo #2). I slid the printer head to the middle (see photo #15) and then turned the power switch on and the printer head moves back to the left starting position (see photo #16).
