These cartridge/clip holders replace the original snap-on orange covers that are supplied with OEM/original cartridges.Extra PADS also available for sale. See my other auctions. I also include 2 extra silicon pads in every 8 pack set purchased. The plastic holder (containing a silicon PAD) clips firmly onto the base of the cartridge keeps air from drying out the cartridge sponge. These clips/holders are ideal for anyone wanting to: --- Top Fill their cartridges --- Keep cartridges in long term storage. You can glue in the pads like I do and this will reduce the possibilities of a slight bit of leakage. But due to the nature of the pad variances, these aren't necessarily leakproof. A best practice is to always rinse out the clips when "reacquiring the vacuum" (a natural process that will always leave a drop of ink on your pad)If you buy "1" you get 8 clips.
